2014 SS manual Driveshaft issues.

Hi Everyone! I recently purchased a Driveshaft Shop 3.5 Aluminum drive shaft for a 2014 SS LS3 manual. The only modifications that I have so far are an Eaton tru-track diff and 4.10 gears installed in the stock housing. The issue is the length of the driveshaft was not correct! From what I was told by the Driveshaft Shop the correct flange to flange measurement should be 561/8" but mine is measuring at 553/8" using the stock transmission and pinion flanges. Has anyone else had this issues? Also it would be really useful if anyone else can post their measurement for the same year and make. I am curious if there is something strange with mine.

Thanks!

I'm replacing my driveshaft this weekend and can take a measurement for comparison.

That would be awesome. I should note that the Driveshaft Shop is being amazing with the troubleshooting on this. I am sending it back to have it shortened. The part I ordered was GMCA10-A.

Unfortunately mine was too long to even install. The cv was bottomed out before I could get the yoke over the alignment pin on the pinon flange. Measuring the entire DS assembly it was the exact same measurement as my flange to flange.
You have better luck than me my friend!

They have been good to me thus far and I am hoping the fix will be well balanced. When I called they confirmed all of the measurements with me and said the part was correct. Did you end up getting a different single piece driveshaft? If so who did you go with? I hope I don't have the same problem you had with balance after they fix it. Also, did you happen to have your flange to flange measurement to post? I really don't understand how a vendor could be at fault if they are selling by part#, I verified the # was correct on mine.

What really sucks is that I have to pay shipping so this is really going to end up costing me...

Thanks for the measurement @larry_g. It really does get under my skin that I have to end up paying more in shipping for them to correct a manufacturing defect.

I am really starting to regret going with the DSS shaft. I just got it back yesterday from them shorting it. Everything went smooth on the installation but now I have extreme vibration between 120 and 140. I will be rotating it tomorrow as they stated to do, to see if the speed range of the vibration changes or if it is resonating through the shaft. Seems too hard of vibrations to be resonance though.

What driveshaft did you go with (DSS, Gforce)?

I am also going to get my tires rotated and road force balanced to see if the issue is there. I think that I should be feeling vibrations earlier if it was caused by the shaft. I could use some feedback on other possible issues if rotating the shaft, and tire work does not solve the issue. Last thing I want is damage from vibration resonance to the transmission.
