Most spray ammonia on the window and cover with a heavy duty trash bag and let it sit for a while. Or they use a steamer to get the glue off if in a hurry.

I used Goo-Gone when I took all my stripes off my camaro. I just soaked it good and let it set for a while to activate. Took all my emblems off and used it to.

How long did you let it soak? Isn’t letting that stuff sit on your car for too long bad?

When I took all the emblems and chrome trim I have on my Camaro for several years, I used goo gone too, just let it sit for quite a while to soften up the adhesive, and the stuff I couldn't get off, my detail shop had this eraser wheel and man it took EVERYTHING off and no harm at all to the paint.

Yeah I’ve watched a couple on it. One dude scratched up his paint a bit with it though.

Yeah I feel like that 3m eraser wheel may be the only thing that’ll get this stuff off.

Turtle Wax makes a goo gone product. I used it on a GMC taking side moulding off. As I recall now, you had to let it sit quite a while. But it works pretty well. Didn’t seem to harm the paint but I wasn’t too worried about that on my old beater.

Had the same issue removing the 10 year old 3M clear bra from my son's 2007 Solstice GXP. You will 3M general purpose adhesive cleaner and a roll of Viva Signature cloth paper towels. Must be done in the shade and better if 80 degrees or less in temp. Lay a towel on an area where the glue residue ends and clean paint is. Soak the paper towel and keep wet with the 3M fluid. Give it time, patience is key. Eventually the glue will soften and turn into "slimy boogers" as it begins to come off the paint. You may need 2 containers of the 3M fluid. Patience and the glue residue will loosen. Keep the paper towel moist, not soaking wet but don't let it dry out either. The Viva paper towels are like cloth, hold the fluid well and won't scratch the paint as the glue loosens up and you wipe it off. Starting at an edge of the glue helps the process along. Be prepared for a several hour ordeal.

I had this car 10 years and 3 different sets of stripes, changed all my chrome to matte black and have never had a problem with the goo-gone. I used a hair dryer to heat up the decals and ir brings more or the adhesive off when you take it off slow. Use mild heat, don't get the hair dryer that close and over heat the section your removing the decals from.

[Just have patience when you hurry that is when you screw up and don't let people interupt you.]

The 3M eraser wheel is not suppose to be used on plastic. Does anyone know if my 2010 Camaro SS OEM hood is a type of plastic?
