I went the cheap route and followed how to open the tailights on youtube.
Instead of buying their lights I looked for something cheaper and found these.http://cgi.ebay.com/Lot5-24-LED-Stri...item4152f8ec9b Now I dont know how long they will last, thats something only time will tell. The total cost was about $12.

They look like jumbo versions of AAC's lights.

thanks all. I think the best thing about these I will be able to black out my tailights and it will still shine through just fine.

Hey, those look a lot better than most of the ones I've seen. I like that you can't see each individual LED, the light looks a lot more diffused.

I ran them to the running/parking lights. I cut the purple wire to the bulb so it wouldnt turn on just the leds. and the brake lights function normally. I actually think they are brighter than the standard lights. I think the lights blend in together cause of how bright they are. I have see the ones aac has and u can see each individual led I have the demon eyes on the front and u can see each led. Just thought I'd share this mod with others who are on a budget as I am for mods.

Here are a few daytime pics its a little clearer how they emit the light. You can see more detail.
