Thank you so much! It was just one picture and a paragraph but I was super excited! Crazy part was GM High Tech got shut down one issue after my car was in it when Source Interlink changed over so my car made it in just in time

I've been missing the forum lately!
I haven't been on in awhile but admittedly my car hasn't even seen the road since early April before this past weekend. It's been sitting in the garage since the Super Chevy Show. But I took it down to the DUB Show this weekend and it was a roller coaster ride haha! The Optima battery powering my stereo malfunctioned and damn near burnt my car down on the way to Miami. My father and I had to rip it out of the car on the side of the street. But after we got it out everything was okay, luckily there was no damage; no idea how I got so lucky! But after that everything went great. The car took home two awards; 1st Place Domestic Street and Best Sound System! There were a lot of beautiful cars at the show so I was honored that the car did so well!

Indeed you have been slacking on the forums lately!!

As always that's awesome that you keep winning awards and that's crazy lucky that nothing was damaged when the battery went bad!

I really have! Did you ever get your wheels powder-coated? I still can't wait to see them! Haha!

Thank you so much! I still can't believe nothing was damaged, there was a huge amount of condensation under the plexiglass (where the batteries are) from the heat, we thought for sure the battery acid would have ruined all the suede at the very least. And a fire would have been inevitable, the battery and surrounding wood was extremely hot.

I did! Though the inner lip wasn't exactly IOM so I have to get that lip redone. But I'm already overseas so no car love minus the forum til next year...

It's crazy how things work out though. My family was having horrible luck with all our vehicles the week before the show. The last straw was my father's car having problems the night before I was planning to leave for Miami so we decided to wait until Saturday and leave together. After we decided that, everything fell into place. And only because of that was my dad with me; I probably would have panicked and not known what to do when put on the spot haha!

I love the big indoor shows, gives me a chance to set up my full display. I was working on the rotor/caliper stanchions for a month just for this show haha!

Okay… I've been slacking again, big time. Haha!
Truth is, I really haven't done much with the car for awhile. I took it out to a show last weekend but that was the first time it had been out since The DUB Show. Had a few glitches with the car, the engine bay lights weren't working and the stereo didn't sound 100%. So I have a few things to work on before the next show but the car still managed to take home an award. Got my first "Best Female Owned" award! I figure every female needs one of these but now it's time to step it up!
