Gen 6 Tail lights for Gen 5 Pics
Put these ON. I like the car with the Gen 5 look and I like the car with the Gen 6 smoked out look too. Slightly leaning toward Gen 6 tail lights because they seem a little more clean and flow with the whole car better.
What do you guys think?

They look odd. A solution to a problem that doesn't exist. Impossible to improve upon the Z/28's good looks. You asked for an opinion otherwise I would not say anything. While I admire your vision and abilities I'm a bit of an overly eccentric purist when it comes to these cars.

I need to see it up close and personal to form an educated opinion but I like the look.

I actually like them. Not enough to go out and put them on my Z, but I do think they look pretty cool.
First time I saw them on a gen 5 going down the road, I was saying to myself “is that a gen 5 or a gen 6??” Finally chalked it up to being aftermarket.. |

Gene, if you decide you don't like them, I'm a buyer!

There’s a guy here in Odessa with a red Z/28 and he has the new style lights on and I have to say that I’m not a fan. Yes the led look is cool but it doesn’t go with this car. No halos on the front and no crazy lights on the back. Only thing I really wish Chevy would have put in is an easy Bluetooth connectivity. As much as I love listening to this engine there are times when I just want to sit in the car and have my phone hook up.

I agree with Arizona. The new tail lights make it look like a fat 6th gen at first glance. I don't understand why people need to make their 5th gens look like 6th gens. If you like the 6th gen look so much, just buy a 6th gen and be done with it, I say.
Sorry, just my $.03. |

Gen 6 rears look good, but my issue is in the front. I'd much rather have HID or LED headlights than the cheap halogens. The conversion bulbs didn't work well for me.

If you had beamtech LED bulbs in your Z28 then you’d be loving your headlights. I’ve ran LED in both my Camaro and my sons Bimmer for years now, no issues. Much better than HID at least for actual visibility. Should be at least one thread addressing this topic. Not all LED bulbs are created equal. Beamtech h13(both hi/lo beam) amazon ~ $40 set Sorry to hijack thread, great aftermarket 6th gen taillights for 5th gen. I like the look but wouldn’t install in mine. I think these are much improved over the stock lights.
