Well day one is done. I'm qualified to go over 200 but have only hit 187 so far. A big headwind really picked up over the day. On my 187 pass I was on a 100 shot with the nitous. Everthing logged perfect, intake temps not pulling any timing. I'm giving it a 250 shot tomorrow....

Good luck brother! I'm hoping to get down there tomorrow evening and see Sundays action. Hopefully meet up with you guys tomorrow night for a beer. If flying weather is good that is. I'm hoping to fly into Beeville and get a rental car there. I'm crossing my fingers on good flying weather cuz I'm not instrument rated. Yet!

I got 193 today but had a lot of trouble, my throttle body is closing by itself when the car gets above 6000 rpm. Since I have to make about 6500 rpm to hit 200 in 5th gear the throttle body is screwing me. I have another bottle of nitrous and enough gas to make a few more passes but if I dont get better wind conditions or an awesome DA then Im not going to do it. I have to keep rpm below 6000 and use 6th gear. Plus I've been icing my supercharger water... If I dont it is pulling timing. I ran out of ice on the last run today and lost 75 horses in the last 4 seconds of the run....192 mph... It all has to be perfect...

It was nice meeting you also. We had a hard rain at about 7am that has since stopped. The wind is perfect right now, about a 20 mph tailwind, but everything is wet. There are only about 30 cars on the grid, if it ever clears Im going to have a shot. That is if it clears and they let us run. I moved my car to the back of the grid to let the other guys dry the track if they ever turn us loose...now I wait....

I want to say he ran about 167 at the half and overall 187 on that pass but after it was done his engine was knocking and he was concerned that he may have broken a rod bearing. Instead of fragging the motor, he decided to call it for that car. Not a bad pass all things considered.

Here is one of mine:
