$60K?? A little bit of a markup. I payed $54K for mine, taxes extra.

Nope mine is a coupe. I just didn't think there was that much of a mark-up difference between the coupe and convertible. Apparently there is! LOL

Even on the straight SS there is. When I bought my convertible 2 years ago, you couldn't get a Canadian car and dealers were bringing them up from the States. There was over a $10 K difference between the coupe and 'vert then. I am sure you can get one at less difference now, but list is still over $10k diff on a 2SS w/RS package. I know dealers claim there is no money in selling cars, but I think we all know the truth!! (seems to be a lot of dealers building new dealerships or upgrading buildings).

I suspect Layla will be chiming in soon, now that I've stirred the hornet's nest!!

The money is made from the parts and service departments. Hell friends of mine at Toyota do over 200,000 in sales a month per person in the department.

There isn't anything in sales. If there was I would be driving a 370Z that would still be more money than the 1LE, and I work for Nissan lol.

Saw a silver camaro driving out of mission today along 4th street! No flood damage to the car but the area looks like it went thru hell! Amazing how much cleanup has been done already!

How can I not? FYI the average car salesperson in Canada makes between $30k-$45k a year. Those new dealerships being built are normally at the instance of the manufacturer. As in don't build a new dealership=lose you ability to sell our product. I know you don't believe me but next time your at a dealership, drive around to staff parking....if we're all making oodles of money why are so many of the staff driving such old cars?

This I can confirm. Southgate had to renovate their old building so GM would not shut them down. Then they built a new building 2 years later I think? The dealerships have to meet the manufacturers requirements...or better...or they get shut down. Sure glad that's not MY money. LOL LOL
