Bad tires

I had Goodyear Eagle Sport A/S tires put on my car in Feb. Fast forward to this week and apparently three of the four are bad. They said that they were moving side to side. As replacements I got Continental DSW06. Hopefully these will fair better. My question is though, what would cause the tires to do this? Is it really just bad tires or could something be wrong with the car itself? I believe they said it was both rear and one front. Thanks for the advice.

I had a bad hub bearing, but it was making a howling noise. Under inflation will wear outer edges of the tires

Hub bearings are quiet. According to the shop, the treadwear was fine. When they were balancing the tire they held a putty knife next to the tire and they said you could see the tire hitting the knife. The wheels are all fine it was the tire causing it. So for whatever reason the tire was moving/wobbling, or whatever youd call it, side to side as it rolled.

I really like my Continental DSW06 tires. Mine have been on for six years.

Yeah I am hoping these fair better than the Goodyears and dont go bad. I questioned their sizes they put on my wheels though. For my understanding the wheels are 11" rear and 10" front and the tire specs say they need smaller wheels but the tireshop said they are fine.
