Car pictures you just posted looking really sweet.

I will attach a few pictures of that A/C line mod I did on the wife's car. Basically I cut the aluminum tubing with a tube cutter and welded a aluminum bung on each end, one near the the fire wall connection and one near the a/c pump. Keep in mind that her car is a LFX engine but the A/C lines are all the same on all gen5's . Really only difference is the a/c pump on v6 or v8. The tube sizes are all the same. Once I cut the tubing i then plumbed the -an fittings and hose to how it looked cleanest etc. . I did her set up from the fire wall bung to a 90* so it points more downwards. I think that is kind of where yours would benefit to by the fire wall connector getting that large hose down and less insight and with braided would finish her off.

Don't worry about the A/C fluid. You don't need anything special to drain. Just crack the connection point bolt on the a/c pump where the 2 hoses connect on pump and let it drain slow till stops leaking air. The a/c fluid in our cars is not like home refrigeration etc. I find it funny when people say you need a machine to remove the a/c fluids. Auto a/c is safer and different since if they crash a/c could easily leak etc. I used a harbor freight a/c charging kit to refill when i was done following our car recommendations on recharging. Was actually easier than I thought it was gonna be.

The bung set up i did on her LFX would be the same as our V8 LS3 or L99 etc.

I did her car like that 2 years ago finished and no issues with leaks etc.

On my personal car, my 1LE the valve covers are aftermarket GM Performance Parts. Pictures on prior page. Yes they were ordered chrome plated as an upgrade cost. Not sure what water pump cap your referring to as there is no cap to water pump. My water pump itself and all assembly parts is fully polished though if that’s what you mean? The water pump pulley is polished to.

Yes I meant the water pump cover. BTW which set of GM PP valve covers are they as the passenger side looks like it has a special fitting mount by the oil cap opening?
