ZL1 Factory Rocker Material

Does anyone know if the factory side rockers are ABS or Polypropylene? Broke 2 tabs removing mine, just the tops came loose. Want to secure them back before painting them. I need to know what adhesive would be best due to the material used. Any help would be appreciated!

I have broken mine before and always used JB weld. Works like a charm and you can build it up some around the mount to help.

I use the tool to the left of the one with the big circle on the end for removing them, if you are patient with it you can do it without even breaking the clips…

There is a video on utube that i use now, You take out the torx screws, then pop out the 3 thats along the lower quarter panel, Then take a rubber mallet and hit the rocker towards the rear of car and drive the rocker panel off the fasteners, then you can see how to pop out the fasteners. I havent broke a mount since doing it this way. I have a kit of extra fasteners in case some break.

lol it happens, the first time I pulled the skirts off my old car I’m sure I broke 95% of the clips. They can be a such a pain in the ass.

Don't do this. Some of the tabs are reversed and slide off in the other direction.

LOL, If you pop the 3 by rear quarter OUT first , there is only one that goes the other way! Even the ones up top of rocker go in same direction. And again i would rather break ONE fastener than the mounts. There is no easier way to do it that i have seen and i have taken mine off numerous times to paint or wrap so i have a good feel for it!
