I wonder why they aren't avalible to order on the convertible? I would like to swap these in my vert, but maybe there's a reason I can't.

Any ideas?

I already had Recaro's in the rear.... a pair of child seats!

Interesting that they aren't an option on the Verts, but if they're not, I'd guess it's for the same reason there are other things the Vert doesn't get, and they are all performance related.

No PTM modes on the Vert
Top end restricted to 155mph
No belly pan.

My guess is that GM assumes Vert owners buy the car more for pleasure than for racing, and since the Recaro's are usually preferred by some for side support when the race, that side support isn't as important in a Vert.

I don't really see any reason that you can't retrofit the Recaro's into a Vert, they may not just be a factory option.

Just a guess mind you.

They are a $1995 option on the 2014 ZL1, so they'll be double that if ordered through a dealership's parts department.

Sure they're nice, and if I was buying a 2014 i'd get them, but all you guys asking when you can order them for your 2010-13's... are you REALLY going to buy a pair of seats for well over 2000 dollars? I kinda doubt it.
