So I went to lunch today in the Z28...
I went to lunch today in the Z28 and was so excited to see another Camaro 5th gen! So, I parked next to him!
After taking the picture and walking away, I stated thinking I maybe shouldn't have. I didn't want to boast with the Z28. I'm thinking I won't do this next time. What would you have done?

I think if you were around the cars when the other owner came out and expressed genuine excitement and interest in all Camaro's there's no problem with parking next to them.
It really depends on the other 5th gen owner though and how they perceive the situation. As a real Camaro enthusiast I would think it's pretty cool that a Z/28 owner decided to park next to me and didn't think they were too good to park next to me in my non-Z/28. On the other hand some people always think that other people are out to try and insult them so they would perceive it as you boasting about your Z/28 and trying to rub it in their face or something. You ultimately can't control how the other person is going to perceive you parking next to them. All you can do is be a true Camaro enthusiast and make that enthusiasm known and other owners will know that you are not trying to boast about anything. You just simply enjoy all models of the cars. NICE Z/28 by the way. Just the color I want for my future Z/28!!

I park next to (one space between) other cars out in the boonies, I know that person values their car. If its another 5th gen, then sweet. I have caught up to other 5th gens while cruising just to say how cool their car looks or to aknowledge a mod I can see. Its all in how you approach it.
. As for the OPs post, nope not boasting, I th8nk it shows respect/trust your in your fellow 5th gen owner.

There is also the situation where they come out and scratch their head "why's that Camaro look so different?!"

Temp tag still on and valid for another 20 days. Going to NJ DMV is like a root canal every time. Miserable people in a miserable place. So, I enjoy no plates for a while...

Why is parking beside someone boasting? I don't get it. Nice plug for Dunkin Donuts though.

I'm more concerned with his heavy ass steel door hitting my door. Not on purpose but on accident.

Myself, I would be pissed. I don't want anyone parking next to Me I don't care what the car is. I pride myself on no nicks, dings or scratches (yet knock on wood). I never park My car next to anyone, not even family or friends.
The first thing I would have done if I came out would have been to closely inspect My drivers side door hoping you didn't have a passenger. |

You should blurr out his plate. Thats the only issue I'd have is someone posting my plates online.
