Intercooler brick

Has anyone replaced the ZL1 LSA brick with the CTSV brick. I have heard the ZL1 brick is the limitation on LSA intercooler system.

The ctsv brick will not fit a zl1 lid. Only upgrade is the c&r brick

Nothing wrong with the lid in the LSA, it’s physic's. You spin the blower it generates heat, it’s parasitic drag off the crank, spin it faster more heat, more drag. IATs get up over 200 quickly and that’s your problem. Put a bigger pump on and yes you push it through the lid faster but how are you going to cool it externally. Bigger heat exchanger with additional fans, remote trunk bucket, reservoir, all help, but they can’t battle the heat the sc is creating, they just bring the temps down once you get out of it. Actually the 1.9 Eaton sc is one of the more efficient sc’s out there. The best answer is a chiller which can get temps down faster than anything else. If it were as simple as putting a bigger lid on the sc, every IMSA, F1, Indy car would run one.

The only issue with the lid s if you get high on boost you can collapse the seams on the end. Plenty of folks out there that reinforce them for you.
