CAMARO OVERHEATING WHEN IDLE ONLY
So I’ve been having a issue where the Camaro only overheats when idle , I took it to a shop they told me it was the computer not telling the fans to kick on and now i have to take it to the dealer , has anyone else had this issue before I get ****ed with no lube by GM?

What do you call overheating? What temperature? Or does water actually boil out?

Sounds like the shop made a decent assessment. That's what I was about to say.

Same here. If it is overheating at idle, probably the fans not turning on, because while you're moving, you have air flow to cool it down. I would have someone check the fan connectors and or fuses/relays for them. Good luck.

Long shot but try disconnecting the battery for a few hours, sometimes the ECU's get confused.
