Any not idiots here?

Any kids here who aren't idiots and haven't gotten a ticket or into a major accident despite being young with a sports car?
Like I'll admit, I'm a complete asshole but I have no gotten 0 tickets and 0 major accidents, the only accidents I have gotten were because this car is land tank. Let's make Camaro5 believe young drivers look good.
So
I'm RJ and I'm 18 and I have gotten into 0 major accidents.
and your name is?

Wow! Two whole years of driving with no "major" accidents!

Don't break your arm patting yourself on the back...

I am also young (22) but honestly, I'd be more impressed if you said you have never been in ANY accidents and drove like a responsible adult. Truth be told, it sounds like you have been in accidents minor or not because you drive like an asshole (your words) and you have gotten lucky in avoiding major accidents.
I have never been in any accidents because I drive responsibly.

I'm 34 and have had 0 tickets and 3 accidents which were not my fault. I plan to keep it that way.

Using the "Camaro is a land tank" is no excuse for minor accidents. It's not that big despite what people say. I learned to drive in vans and Cadillacs. I'm sure there are plenty of people on here that dive Silverados and Suburbans too.

Point is you can't blame the vehicle, just be extra aware of your surroundings.

Guess I'm an idiot. Back in April I ran up a curb on a rainy day and learned my lesson. I was really frustrated with myself and with the $3400 repair even though insurance took care of it

+1 Some times it's not your driving it is the other driver being distracted that runs a redlight/stop sign, on the phone, shaving, texting, eating or having and in depth conversation with their passenger (add any other distraction you can think of here)

well -- I'm glad you have not had any accidents.

May I make a few suggestions that I've learned over nearly 60 years on this earth?

One - watch what language you use when typing something......while I have been known to swear at times like a "drunken whatever" in person - I would encourage you not to swear.......bad form. (...and I keep kicking myself when I lose my patience and let out an 'oath'....)

Two - you must remain vigilant. No matter how good your driving skills are - it's the other guy or gal you have to watch out for.... (a rule of thumb: 99.9% of drivers 'think' they're better drivers than they are - and 75% of them are HORRIBLE drivers and don't know it.......)

Three - I don't know you - but if I catch you (or my nephews and nieces) or anyone else texting while driving - I will pull your arm off and beat you over the head with it. I don't want to see you kill yourself -- or others - and I have overwhelming proof that texting while driving is much worse than driving drunk.

Now - I'd also encourage you (and everyone else reading this) to save your nickels and dimes and enroll in a driving course at either Spring Mountain Motorsports Park (Ron Fellows) or Bob Bondurant - - not only is it an enjoyable experience - but you'll 'unlearn' bad habits - and develop good habits that may save your life - and others - in the future.

I'm not belittling you - I'm saying this to everyone.......
