Other members have install them with no problem. Some say you may need a tune for the L99 but since you will be doing cam/stall I say just get the z/28 air intake and tune everything @ once.

I have it on my L99, been running it over a week and no issues at all. have not done a tune yet but plan on doing one soon. was planning on a tune before I even bought the Z/28 intake and not because of buying it. and the fitment is perfect, like it was designed for my car!

No one knows, but gave it a couple months of thought and research and could not find a reason it would not work, then got wind of a couple people doing it on a L99 with no problems and went a head and did it. turns out it doesn't hurt anything from my experience. no CEL, no adverse effects thus far, and I am not the only one. several more have done it with no issues. I figure if there is any issue that I can't detect on my own can be accounted for when I data log for my Tune. Kind of doubt it will even have to be adjusted for even then. appears to me to be a basic CAI on par with most aftermarket models. another member did a Dyno in the Z/28 Section and reported a gain in performance from the install on his 1LE. but the increase was similar to other Aftermarket ones so can't see how it would be any worse than those others.

To much power, going to blow the welds on the intake manifold
OK all jokes aside I do find that weird, I don't see how its any different than any other intake of it's kind

On a stock engine with hood closed it picked up 16 RWHP and 10 RWTQ over stock is impressive to say the least. http://www.camaro5.com/forums/showth...=385592&page=6

Why not just get a good aftermarket intake?
Is the Z/28 cheaper? |

Get what you like best, the Z28 intake is similarly priced to all other "good aftermarket intakes". I got my Z28 intake for $402 shipped from JEGS.com, the only way to get one here in California.
