My 2014 2SS Kraftwerks build

I pulled the trigger and ordered a Kraftwerks supercharger for my 2014 Camaro 2SS. Very excited about the build and cant wait to hear it run. I ran into some challenges along the way and thought I would share my experiences with the group. I will also be adding some pictures. Thank you to Kraftwerks for answering my questions and sending additional documentation when something wasn't clear. Jannetty for their patience with me as I figured out what I needed. To start with here is a list of things I added you may not need but from everything I could tell you should have when you put the kit in.

1. The kit is great seems like great quality, but dont forget the extras
a. How will you tune it.
i. Find a tuner or Jannetty Racing can do an Email tune.
1. Whatever tuner you have make sure what they use for tuning
it and have that type of tuner
2. I had Diablo Trinity sold and bought the SCT X4 Jannnety
tunes
b. You should get a ZL1 fuel pump and a JRE FPCM
i. This was recommended by Jannetty and from many other tuners
on here you need good solid fuel pressure
c. You should also have a Boost Gauge and a AFR Gauge
i. I put these in anything I have done boost with (Seadoo etc)
it will help you know early if something is going on when your AFR
spikes way high
d. They recommend a clutch I don't have the money right now hoping to
make it to summer before having to change

Stock clutch will last longer than you think. I didn't go with an aftermarket clutch until I was over 600 whp.

Nice build! Keep the updates coming!

I was a GM tech for years before I got into computers. My father and I have a very large garage with a lift and all the tools needed to have a business, but we only work on our own stuff (and some friends and family). I built my stock car there and have made mods to most everything I own. I have 3 Camaro's one is a 1980 that dad bought new and I bought at 18 it has 80K on it. I have a 93 that he bought for my mother for their anniversary that has 60K on it now and I bought this one 2 years ago.

I have to call and find out how to arrange the hoses for the antifreeze overflow bottle, that is the one part that I am not sure about. I have put the new injectors in the new spark plugs in mounted the supercharger and the intercooler. Really all I have left is some little stuff. After talking with Kraftwerks on the phone I am going to bleed the oiling system one more time to be sure before I start it for the supercharger. I got oil out of the line but want to be sure I get all the air out before I start it. Tonight I will be working on the overflow tank the blow off valve and the tune information that I have to send to Jannetty for my Email tune. I am getting to the end pretty quickly.

OK finished bleeding the oil system for the supercharger. The bottle is right on the mark. Everything is installed and double checked. I sent my information to Jannetty for my eTune and once I get that back I can load it and fire her up. I am really excited now to get it going. I may just warm it up and drive it up and down the driveway since winter really hasnt left yet. I dont like the sand and salt on the roads. It rained last night I hope that helps.

Its Alive..... I received my tune from Jannetty racing today, installed the tune and was ready to go. After some tense moments after start up because I couldnt tell if the oil was circulating from the supercharger, I pulled the line from the top of the reservoir and it was working perfectly. I had my father hold the idle at 2500 and checked the oil like the manual said and it was great. No leaks no issues good to go. Sprayed soapy water around all of the pipes and connections for the supercharger and it looks like it is working fine. Only issue so far seems to be a small leak from the antifreeze overflow bottle. I have to finish putting the nose back on and install the ZL1 fuel pump and FPCM and then a couple data logs for Jannetty to fine tune my tune... Then ready for a ride.

Put in the JRE FPCM and the ZL1 fuel pump today. I opted for making a door in the back instead of dropping everything. Even though I have a lift, it was alot less work and I had to pull the seats to get out the panel to replace the FPCM anyway. That ring was a real bitch. I have done alot of gas tanks in the past, maybe because it was just under the lip of the body and I couldnt get a great angle on it, but it went on very hard. Next time I may make a tool to do it. Other than that it is all back together. I am waiting on my AFR gauge and Boost gauge to arrive so I can install and do some data logging for Jannetty. Very excited to try this bad boy out more than moving it in and out of the garage LOL
