Exclamation LA Autoshow Photos

I attended today. Unfortunately I could only score 2 Camaro Convertible Hotwheels. I am going to go back and see if I can get a couple more. The place was packed and it was raining part of the day. But that didn't deter people from test driving the new Gen 5 today! Go Chevrolet! I will post a few lower resolution photos for you to look at. I am a 11/15/10 TPW and still no word on a 3800 code yet!

I am getting antsy so had to do something to get out of the house today...so might was well go see more Camaros and drool all over myself! HA

The only one they had was the one outside and it started raining so I had to duck back into the building. It is the first photo. I will try and get more. I believe there were a total of 7 Camaros that I saw indoors. There may be more but that was in the GM area. No tops were up indoors.

Thanks for posting, don't forget to post the PO PO. Those hot wheel tracks will bring back some bad memories for those that were whipped with them as kids.

I only scored two!!! They are already committed (1 for me and the other for my wife's boss who collects) At this point I am going to go back and score more if I can. They were only giving out one at a time. I went a second time, thirty minutes later, and I got the "evil eye" from the girls handing them out because they knew I was a repeat offender! LOL I figure I just plopped down my money for the real deal...the least they can do is give me a couple of toys since I am waiting past my TPW date and there is no bonus!

They had a couple of hotwheels tracks setup for the kids to play and they were having a ball. They also had a large slot car track set up that was absolutely cool too! Hadnt seen slot cars in years. Here are some photos from racing.

It's cool! If you can, you can. If you can't, you can't! Nice pictures too!

I wish I had a better photo of her. I had a great chat with this woman. She is very educated (Environmental Engineer I believe is what she said). She loved the Orange Krate name and the history behind it (see my journal). She also knew who Scott Settlemire is and admires him as we do here at Cam5. She was aware of this website and is VERY informed on the Gen 5. More than most sales people I have talked too. She is a Michigan gal. I am 6'3" and we were almost eye to eye. A real sweetheart for GM in all aspects! They done good.

TAILGATE PARTY???

How's this for a tailgate party vehicle? I can just see it rolling into Dodger Stadium, the Coliseum or the Rose Bowl. You can cook up some serious meat on this bad boy.

WELLLLLLL?!?!? Since I am STILL waiting for my elusive 3800 notice (TPW 11/15) and therefore no Camaro of my own to drive yet... I had to find one to get that good Camaro feeling going. CAPTURED by the Convention Center Security Camera: Orange Krate's proud Dad sitting in a sibling! Hope there is no rivalry.

DURAMAX/ALLISON POWERTRAIN

Nothing like brute strength. I know I would be poo-poo'ed by the purists here but... I would be real interested in a hyperf turbo diesel application in a Camaro. It could be done and it would be a very good commuter car with plenty of horsepower, torque, speed, and MPG! It wouldn't have to sound like the "turd burners" of yesteryear. The VW display had a number of nice diesel powered cars that are quiet, well appointed and great MPG. My own VW Turbo diesel gets almost 50 MPG and will do 80 MPH all day without breaking a sweat. The only problem with it? It isn't a CAMARO!!! :upset:
