CA STATE AUTO LEGAL ISSUE - URGENT READ
This is no hoax. It is directly from the California State Legislature and it will be voted on next week! Step up action required.
California Auto/Truck enthusiasts notice!!!! Urgent Taxpayer Alert: The Car Tax Is Back!!! ACTION NEEDED: Contact members of the California State Assembly Transportation Committee and tell them to vote NO on Assembly Bill 8, a $2.3 billion tax extension against vehicle owners to fund infrastructure projects related to hydrogen fuel stations that most people will likely never use. WHEN TO TAKE ACTION: ASAP. The bill will come before the Assembly Transportation Committee on Monday, February 4th at 1:30. WHY: AB 8 will result in an extension of vehicle registration, smog abatement, tire fees, etc. imposed on taxpayers for an additional nine years, until the end of 2023. While regulatory relief for the trucking industry has been proposed in the bill, this can be altered in the future by a majority vote. So, the relief may well be only temporary, but the taxes will be very permanent and long-lasting. Further, with a two-thirds vote, nothing stops this money from being moved straight into the General Fund, which has already seen a 6% spending increase over last year. The only thing that bugs me about this is the fact the money can be moved to the general fund. I hate how they make these taxes for infrastructure projects, parks, etc and then just siphon the money off.

Just another reason I will be purchasing and registering my Camaro in Oregon. This state is out of control.

The tax hike for "schools" that was voted on in November is already available to be moved to other areas as the idiots in charge see fit. Now we have 6 more years of a tax hike for the general fund. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

This states politicians are so stupid...
Another thing we need to fix... LT headers. If the car runs clean why does it matter if we have LT headers? I get so sick of these stupid laws they come up with here...

I'm just telling you guys, these dumbass laws yall have keep someone like me from wanting to move there. Let me tell you why that is a problem. I'm an earner. I make an above average, healthy living. Which means tax revenue and money I spend. But I get the feeling if I tried to move there that as soon as I crossed the state line thry confiscate me, my car, my guns, my dogs, and my cat and throw us all under a jail.

How about we just sign over our entire salaries to this damn state? I swear this state will look for any excuse to tax us. I still dont understand how California, one of the highest taxed states still manage to be in a deficit while other states that dont have a state tax can manage to not to be in a deficit. Un-freekin-believable. I moved here for a higher paying job. After 7 years, still feels like i make less than i did before.
