Why aren't young adults into sports cars like years past?

I always wanted to know why today's youth isn't interested in sports cars? Actually second that, why aren't they in to cars in general? Is it that all cars today look the same? Is it the cost of the cars? Is it family requirements so they can't get a two door car? Just want to hear some opinions on this topic.

I kinda wondered the same thing today... Went to a car show in Fremont Nebraska, and all but a few of the cars were owned by older people or couples. I'd classify them generally as Baby-Boomers for the most part. I did see one younger guy polishing a Synergy Green Camaro, but there were older gents sitting behind it, so hard to tell who owned it. Maybe things will change as the current crop of cars get to be "classics"?

Because they were formed in the second "great recession" and contrary to what Mr. stock market tells you, nothing has been fixed or is changed.

Also, many more kids now in cities and it's just easier to rent a car or what not for the day than buy one.

Maybe lazy, feel they are 'entitled', they don't have to work for it, and that someone 'else' should get it for them?

You're classifying some of us young people as something we are not. There are definitely some of us that are still into cars.

I think it's the cost of cars and lack of good jobs is what's turning many of the young people away.

In our disposable society where people trade their cars in every ten minutes for the newer, better, faster or more gadget laden model...I'm not surprised that most young people haven't developed a passion for something that they're not likely to keep very long.

And honestly...when I was younger I had much better things to do than hang out at car shows with a bunch of old farts...lol

not sure why, but think the culture around cars, sports and interest has changed. Irs all about how the kids are raised. Ryan zl1 might have the right training ideas.
