Considering to buy FI system.

So, I am likely to buy an FI system by end of next week for my 2010 LLT car. but i am a new member and novice to this and surely wouldn't want to read every thread with 10-20 pages of comments.

so i am here looking for advices, opinions, and other members reviews to help decide which system to buy, surely everyone is bias to what they bought but yet its helpful.

So here what I need for my system to be able to deliver:
1. ease with installment, my car is DD and i cant have the car away from me for more than 3 days, so i need a system that can be installed easily by any performance shop by 2 days and not 2 weeks or months.

2. perfected tune. i did read a lot of problems with tune with LLT engine, so i wouldn't buy a system that would have me to the garage every once and then to tweak the tune. I dont want a 5-6k dollar headache.

3. Performance: at least 400 wrhp and 340-360 wrtq from a system is decent for me, I want the system to make the car able to beat a stock SS, 5.0, SRT8, 370z and even lightly moded one, like only cars with only intake and exhausts.

I also would like a system with Trifecta tune, because I already bought the tune, but I have no problem of changing tunes if that would be better for me.


sorry for the log post, but 5-6k dollar is a lot of money and I dont want to buy and regret and cry in the corner for weeks. so please guide me in this.

I like the idea of having a turbo more, because of sound and all, but I do not mind getting a Supercharger at all.

Well since it sounds like you want an easy carefree system, a supercharger might be better. Turbos sometimes require more maintenance. That's just my opinion though.

I'd give a look into the ipf supercharger. It has six figures worth of research and design behind it, can be installed really easily either by you or a qualified mechanic. It also comes with the tune needed and the customer service behind it is superb

It also makes close to the hp numbers u want. The tune is perfect. And the system is reliable.

I have the RX Suoercharger run a 12.92 in the 1/4 mile and this is my DD with 62,265 miles

We do super chargers, single turbo, and twin turbo for the camaro, buicks, and caddilacs. We also produce several other performance products for the 3.6 DI motors.

I have the IPF system. It was a breeze to install (I did it myself in my driveway,took me 2 days of going back and forth with no electricity here in NY after Sandy) Hitting the dyno and track in 2 weeks before it closes and yes this is my DD. If you have any questions PM me!

Get the latest GM High Tech magazine, my car is in there, took 1 day to install, included bothe before and after dyno runs. Super easy to do and completely reversable if needed. I have 414 RWHP and an very happy with the kit.

I like the RX system because of the options it provide but I also read about a lot of problem with the tunning and mixed results

I have had the IPF system for five months and could not be happier. My husband did the install in our shop, as he is a mechanic. We had it done in two days with only partial days on both. They worked very hard to get the tune perfected on my car, as I was the first, and I believe still only, car at altitude.

I shaved a bunch of time off my 1/4 mile (1.5 seconds at least) and gained 125 horse power over my pre-system dyno. It has been a breeze to maintain, as we just do the oil change on it when we do my regular oil change at 5,000 miles, even though it only requires it at every 6,000 miles. I get great feedback at the track and at car shows about how great my system looks. Everyone asks me if it is a factory install because it looks so clean. It sounds great and is great to see my passengers thrown back in their seats for the first time. It is also nice to surprise the other cars at the track by the speed and the noise, and that's from a girl!

I highly recommend the guys at IPF, who have been great supporters of me through this exciting journey. They have always been there when I needed them when we had questions about the install and the tune (including nights and weekends!), and I was a very early adopter. I think I bought their third system. They now have tons more out in the field and we are all enjoying the heck out of our cars with no down time. My only problem now is putting that power to the wheels so I can get a better launch from my manual... (winter projects!)
