Getting new tires, need help

Well my lead foot and the pirelli's horrible treadwear rating has me looking into new tires, what're some good tires i could replace the pirellis with that are still performance oriented but will last longer and do better in all seasons?? i know that's asking alot but i'm new to the performance/muscle car world and need to know what you guys would recommend. thanks.

jordan.

I will recommend these, they fit the bill, I have had Yoko's before and loved them, and I plan on putting them on when my Parelli's are gone.

the yoko parada spec x is a great tire, for a pickup or suv. i've got them on my escalade, but that doesnt mean it will work on the camaro. the spec x is not designed as a car tire, they will fit but dont expect the traction of the p-zero.

It doesn't matter if you have a lead foot. 400+ HP and a lead foot = bad tread wear no matter what you put on it.

Just because they are marketed towards SUV owners, it does not mean they aren't good tires for a car. The Camaro is a heavier than normal vehicle and seems to respond well with the SpecX tires, according to those on here that are currently using them on their Camaros. Even the Yokohama marketing materials list the Chrysler 300, Dodge Charger, and Dodge Magnum.

I was looking at these for my SS, with some 20 x 8.9/9 wheels with either 245/45-20's or 275/40-20's

http://www.conti-online.com/generato...en;tabNr=.html

I have these on my other car and they are great!! And they have them in the sizes for the Camaro..... and for the price you cant beat it for an all season tire.

Tire Rack has them for around 225 a tire......and so far very decent ratings.

What ya think?

Pretty good tires.........but if price is a factor, there are cheaper options for tires that are just as good.
