Limits of a stock manual drivetrain????
Hi, I have a 2012 SS with 680 HP to the rear wheels, 6-speed manual, GM 1LE 391 rear-end gears, and stock-size Mickey Thompson drag radials. Can the car handle coming out of the hole using its Launch Control without breaking?????

I wouldnt recommend a straight dump with 0 suspension supporting mods. Axles wont like it, nor will most of the rear suspension. Trailing arms, toe arms, bushings all should be considered to prevent hop, rear suspension flex and help the axles handle it.

Traction and wheel hop are what kills a manual driveline. If you still have the stock suspension your probably going to break something at that power level with drag radials.

I put a whipple on mine (610rwhp) and all was fine on stock drivetrain until i put slicks on and went to strip. When the weak spot is traction, all is fine. When you eliminate traction as weak spot it will find the next and break it, and the next, and the next. But it sure is fun.

At 700whp and 10" slicks, I've broken a ZL1 axle and a one-piece driveshaft on the two-step at 14 degrees of retard. I upgraded the axles to Gforce Outlaws before the one-piece drive shaft broke and then returned to the stock driveshaft. Now at almost 800whp on E85 and going to track Saturday, so we will see how the stock shaft holds up.
Edit: no driveline issues, but I could not get the car to build a lot of boost at the line.
