Acronyms?

There are a lot of acronyms in the "automotive world". Especially the tuning an engine discussions. Would any one care to make a comprehensive list of them. not looking for 1 here and 2 there. but a big list. I'm sure I'm not the only one lost in all this.

LS3, L99, and LLT are just internal GM engine codes. They have no meaning.

Thank you but not what I mean. Not talking about texting or blog text but car (mainly engine and tuning) acronyms.

ECM, IAT, MAF, The list goes on and on. Thank you for your support, AND I'm looking for a long and comprehensive list not just these.

I just google them when I run across ones I don't know.
MAF= mass air flow sensor
ECM= electronic control module
IAT= intake air temp
PCV= Positive crankcase ventilation.

Here is a link for more http://www.engine-light-help.com/che...-acronyms.html

For tuning acronyms look at www.hptuners.com .

A lot here http://www.hptuners.com/forum/showthread.php?t=9552
and http://www.ls1tech.com/acronyms.html

ECM = Electronic or Engine Control Module
TCM = Transmission Control Module
BCM = Body Control Module
PCM = Powertrain Control Module (Essentially combines ECM and TCM into one)

Thanks IndeedSS1,
between these three links I'd believe most all are covered. I wish they were in the Wiki for quick reference.
Thanks again

Ummm... I think you can edit the Wiki. That's why there is a Wiki for this site.

AFM: active fuel management (in V8 the automatics... switches the car to 4 cylinders when cruising)
