I did use Road Wrap for the trip to Valdosta last year. Easy to use and rips right off when you get there. Use it for the rock chips more than the bugs. But it was nice to have an instantly clean bumper as soon as I ripped it off. I've driven around the West enough to know there's a lot more gravel on the roads out there than in the Midwest. Especially in the mountains where they dump grit on the roads instead of salt.
If you are going to use it, take lots of time to get it on cleanly and without too many wrinkles. The edges will start to peel in the wind, so the more you extend around the sides, the better. The more time you take putting it on the less it'll peel. It'll look stupid, but I'd do it again. I had no chips on the way down, one on the way home cause I did it in a hurry and left one little spot uncovered. That spot had a chip. I also forgot the mirrors on the way home and got nailed by flying cardboard on I-95 in South Carolina. That rubbed out with some polish. Chips won't rub out. |

Just ordered my RoadWrap after seeing how ugly my dads bumper looked today when he got back from his Arizona trip. Don't want my baby looking like that

I have enough chips on the front of my car, I just ordered a roll. Searching google for coupon came up with tenoff for 10% off your order. Ships from Kentucky.

I called Pam, and she said that there was NO WAY that she was gonna hang on to the front of my car for that many miles. She did say that she would wash it for me, but only if I fly her to AZ and back...
Looks like I will be washing it myself! ;-P

I ordered a roll, too - if it works out for C5F, I'll use it for the roadtrip to Oshawa in June.

I tried a test peice on Pumpkin today. Look's to be mint. I'll use it to protect the rear quarter panels for track days as well.

Don't forget to take the roll and a razor blade with you for the trip back!
And don't forget the mirrors, they get as much abuse as the bumper.
