Trip Report - More boring photos of a Red Camaro and one Silver one
Ok, I said we were going on a little trip today and we just got back so I thought I’d share. We did a nice little 410 miles to the West side of Michigan and back.
We started out heading West on I-696 and ran into a couple of guys in a Z06. We nodded acknowledging his car, he seemed indifferent. So we cruised together for a few miles, perhaps he thought I might want a go. Well he got tired and lit the fuse. If you haven’t heard a Z06 Wide Open Throttle pulling past 100, you are missing a treat indeed. Chills down the back awesome. A bit later, we stopped for a break and a soda and just happened to pick the same location that the Calhoun County Sheriff’s department was having lunch. 4 cars in fact were in the parking lot. We entered and one of the officers said, “nice car, where are you headed”? “The opposite way you are going”, I said. On the way out they asked some more about the car, when it was available, etc. We told them we were heading to Kalamazoo. They offered an escort, which I thought was very nice of them. Well it would have been nice if they actually meant it. So we made it to Kalamazoo and had lunch, blah blah and so on that would bore you. We decided to drive further West to Lake Michigan for some photos. Then in Saugatuk, we park the car in this little town right next to guess what? Another CTF Camaro. A very nice Silver 1LT, just like Number 3 except for the color. So a few more photos and then on our way home. Still lots of thumbs up and head turning to look the car over. So that hasn’t changed. The car is super comfortable, but I think I prefer the cloth seats for comfort. Not by much, the leather is still comfortable, but for me I think I like the 1LT seats better by just a bit. Fuel economy for the 400 plus miles was very good. I won’t give you number so I won’t have to explain my driving habits or speed to you, but let’s just say that the mileage for the day, which included some city, back road, and a lot of highway was 1 mpg better than what we got with a G8 GT going to Florida a year ago and, get this, only 1 mpg worse than we got with Number 3 on the entire trip to California. So pretty good there. It’s not a 6 cylinder Malibu, but I thought it was pretty good. So over all a good day for us and the car. We did our part to help the last step to you getting your cars. It will be soon, and we can’t wait. Hope you enjoy even more photos of a Red Camaro.

Thanks for taking the time to post the pictures and tell the story.....We are all so eager to experience the new Camaro and your stories seem to make it seem so real. Looks like the weather was awesome for you as well. So did the cops even ask what the top speed limiter was set at? You should have told them to just call for the helecopter cause they aint going catch one...Have a great rest of the weekend.

Silver seems to me to make all the little surface details pop. There are things on some cars you don't notice but then you see one in silver and go wow, I never noticed that.
I am actually very confused on color. I've seen them all but the TWO MAGICAL COLORS THAT NO ONE HAS SEEN . The Camaro looks good in all of them.

I would have to say those are your best pictures yet, although they have all been great. Thanks for the beautiful documentation.
