I hope this is in the right section but I was wondering if there was an automatic fog light setting. I have the non rs ss and have my lights on automatic but for some reason when i manually turn my fog lights on then turn the car off only the normal headlights are on.

I'm just trying to figure out if I want my fog lights on if I need to manually do it every time....Anyone else have this issue??????

The auto setting is for the headlights only. You have to manually turn on the fog lights each time and once the ignition is turned of they automatically turn off also. The head lights stay on because the perimeter lighting feature is turned on.

Not sure if this makes a difference but I have the RS 1ss and my fog lights always turn on when I start the car. They will only be off if I set the auto light feature to off. not too sure if my car resets to auto feature on every time I turn the car off but im pretty sure it does. But the perimeter lighting feature is the same on my car.

damn. I wish they made it easier to have your fog lights on. Car looks so much better with them on and also the amber lights in the grill.

I suppose that the daytime running lamps for the 2SS/RS are the fog lamps, at least this is what I have heard.

Yes with the rs package the foglamps are the daytime running lamps. however you cannot run the foglamps and hid halo headlights at the same time. I wish you could that look gorgeous.

IT IS SIMPLE, GM. AS IN PREVIOUS GENS. FOGLIGHT SWITCH--"ON"--"OFF"!!!! i like running my parkin lights and foglights right before dark. i love my headlights and fogs together. its all about looks. i turn my fogs out when its raining. just fun CAMARO things to do. FOG hardly has anything to do with it.

its different with the SS/RS package as the fogs are DRL's and the parking lamps are the halos. Stock, you cannot run the halos and the fogs at the same time...

Likely because some states have a limit to the number of lights that can be lit on the front a a vehicle. In IL, I believe the limit is 4.

I have a 1SS NON-RS. I still have not been able to turn on the fog lights. I have tried to turn off the DRL's then press the fog light button. They only thing that happens is the parking lights go on but no fog lights. Same thing when I turn the switch all the way to the right and press the fog light button. Parking lights only. But in both instances the indicator in my dash shows that they are on. Anybody out there have any sugestions?

what fog light button?? i have the 2ss/rs so i didnt know i couldnt run my hid's and fogs at the sametime??? thats total BS..im gonna have that fixed...i was killing myself looking for a button/switch that doent even exist in my car lol silly me
