pfadt spring install - how soon should you get an alignment?

the instructions state to get an alignment after install, but they do not specify when. should I put some miles on them prior to getting an alignment?

springs 'settling' is probably a myth, I was asking in the off chance that some miles should be put on them prior to alignment. not something I really want to do more then once a year : )

thanks.

I know OP asked about alignment after springs install - I had Pfadt coilovers installed and felt the Camaro being off on the drive home. I had both front & rear alignment done next day & immediately felt the difference. Handling post- alignment was as I expected - I wouldn't wait long after your install.

If you put the springs on yourself, you'll be worried that you screwed something up, after the first drive. It will feel strange and not feel secure. This is mostly the alignment. Once you get it aligned, most of that will go away. Add the sways to take it away completely.

one step at a time! I hope the springs don't feel awkward without the sways to compliment them!

The springs are good all on their own, the sway bars take it to the next level.

and you won't need another alignment if you do the springs first and then the sways. I have springs and will do the sways next. My dealership told me to bring it in for the alignment as soon as I got it lowered so they could get it back into spec. Rides good now but can't wait to add the sways.

Nice add-on. Realignment often gets associated with any suspension mods. Typically, it's only when you lower/raise the vehicle that you need to do a alignment. If you got the Pfadt springs, i'd recommend you use their street performance alignment. Gives you a good balance between performance and tire wear.
