Whining Will Stop. Ground effects came in.

Ground Effects came in today. Got a call from my dealer. Finally I can get this car done and put it to bed. When the custom paint work is done, I'll post the pictures here. If I've judged others harshly, please feel free to do the same with my car. Still on the fence whether to have full striping over and down the spoiler and over the rear ground effects. See what the body shop guy says. Any thoughts on that?

Awesome man!!! I can't wait to see some final product pictures. I just read in a thread today my car might be gettin pushed back from it's 7/27 TPW because of M6 tranny issues, But congrats on finally getting those GFX in.

NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!! So the rumor about the M6 constraint is true? How is that even possible? Sorry to hear about that man. :(

Well it's looking that way. Nothing official from GM or any of the reputable sources on Camaro5, but all signs point to yes. I'll be alright though

Told ya it would come in.

Thoughts?

I'd like to see some chops of what you are thinking of first. That's the best way to figure it all out.

Hahaha!! I have foot-in-mouth syndrome. Sorry Chevyrocker. Just didn't think it was going to be what seemed like moments since last we spoke. I'm still familiarizing myself with the members here and I shouldn't be calling people out without knowing who they are first. Shouldn't be calling anybody out period, to be honest. Again, I am sorry about that on your thread. You know your stuff and I'm grateful for your help!

TAG, I'm trying to find the post that this guy posted here months ago when he had some cool body striping done. Looked like factory rallys but went straight down the hood, and over the ground effects. Though he didn't have it done after the spoiler; down his trunk. I have the pic of the front (posted below), but I don't know how odd it might look to extend the stripes down past the spoiler and down to the rear ground effects. I wish I had pics but nobody has done it yet. I do want it to be faithful to older Camaros and not look too tacky, if you know what I mean. Here's the front pic.

What color car and stripes????

make um wider and spaced a little farther apart

the bowtie should fit between the stripes, and the outside of the stripes should end right at that curve in the GFX lip

the rear GFX should be blacked out b/w the exhaust tips.... see Hyltons car .... (If your car is black I would do this region in flat black ... note to kick self)

then you can stop the rear stripes before you get to the blacked out portion... or just stop at the spoiler

.... my $.02

............ and no roof stripes!!

Thanks for the advice. What would you say if my car was IOM? Should I not have the rear part of it painted at all? Wouldn't that look strange? I'm going with painted black rallys. I'll note that the stripes go around the bowtie! Any other suggestions? This is helping me a ton guys. Gotta bring the car in on Wednesday morning for final planning and thyey'll strat work on it either later that day or Thursday morning. Thanks again!

Damn, Bell's suggestion is awesome! Keeping the rear part of the GFX with the diffusers black is a GREAT idea. Looks awesome on Hylton's car!!
