Thoughts on the Turbo Four Camaro

I have had the turbo four since Friday last and though I only have 350 miles on it so far I am quite happy with the car. I should note I am biased toward four cylinder engines, particularly forced induction fours. Steering is quick and precise and engine is smooth and as powerful as anticipated. I am one of those few who like a dual mass flywheel and therefore I like the trans.

I have two complaints: 1) the engine is too darn quiet. That can be rectified as soon as Solo or ZZP bring an exhaust to market. 2) XM is for ninety days. When I told XM staffers the Window Sticker said one year their response was the Window Sticker was a mistake.

To answer a question posed Monday as to how I am liking the turbo four: I am liking it very much!

I talked to ZZP about performance parts for the camaro, and they said that they don't have the intentions on purchasing one. That's not to say they won't make parts for it, but they do have parts for the ATS. If you want, you can purchase LTG, and ATS parts, intall it, and if they don't fit, you send it back for a full refund. They've done it with me. I am waiting for my LTG camaro, and test fit some of their ATS parts.

You do know that it has that noise canceling crap build in with the Turbos & also 'fake' engine sound thru the radio speakers ....
Find that 'fuse', & pull it...

What XM Radio is telling you is pure BS. You are entitled to a 1 year subscription. I went round and round with them about this issue and finally I went back to my dealer and they called XM and got me my 1 year subscription. There have numerous complaints about this issued in this forum. Evidently there is a disconnect between GM and XM Radio.

How is the no-lift shift? Mind that I don't really have any manual experience.

Find the GM Mylink help desk number. It's here somewhere. Once you get connected there, they will pass you through to an XM helpdesk. They changed mine in 30 seconds after getting ahold of that XM help desk, gave me a full year.

Glad to hear!!! I am waiting to have one at the lot so I can go test driving one. I am that curious!

I think as a bone stock vehicle, everything looks great on paper and if the handling / driving is anywhere similar to an SS / LT, I think that makes it even better! RWD turbo can be VERY fun! One thing that I am curious of is how much the aftermarket will be a part of this. Coming from Evo's, 2.0T and heavily modded, I can tell you there is a pretty decent market for em. Let's see how that will adapt into the camaros.

Was it ever mentioned about that the turbo camaro will have no lift shift?
