Mine is 7 years old and has just under 9,400 miles. I'm changing my oil once a year, regardless of mileage.I briefly get the tick on start up but then it goes away. If some day I have to replace the lifters, it's okay since the car is not costing me anything to own except tags and some depreciation every year.

I change it twice a year,
April and September.
