MidOhio. Its northeast of Columbus. There is also one in MI. Both have events there this year. September in MI and October in Ohio.

Look in the Great Lakes Regoinal section. The MI one is the Pedders Day. Both would be great chances to get your feet wet and see if you like it... I am going to the MidOhio one.

Putnam Park is not too far from you, about 65 miles south down 231. Besides our event, there are at least 4 other weekends 1010ths runs at Putnam Park. Hit his event format link, it'll give you a good idea what goes on out there. There are other open weekends at Putnam Park as well.

It's a very nice track, lots of run off room.

We went last October and checked out similar event.
Nice track , nice people, nice cars.

The wife will be on track in her car ( which is what got me started on this whole thing ).
We'd love to see some other 5th gens come out.
I'll try to get these up on the schedule as well.

Anyone know the guy in the fatal accident in noblesville early this morning/late last night? Said his 2010 camaro hit 2 trees going extremely fast around 12:05am. They said that Alcohol and drugs are not suspected. I missed the clip but heard it looked horrible. Sad day for the camaro family! :(

I saw the pics from that on the 59 web site. I was wondering if it was one of us C5'rs. I'm betting it was probably a 20-something. with that speed involved. You couldn't even tell what kind of car it was other than being able to see one of the doors.

Tis just unfortunate, especially since it resulted in both the loss of life and a Camaro..

Wow....that's a shock. I'm from Carmel and usually it is the kids showing off their sup'ed up cars and trucks that are injured in speed accidents. That is a horrible road to even think about trying out the handling of any car, especially at night.

Most of the crowd I know on the South side is all older adults, people with turbo'd Corvettes and high end muscle cars....

But up that way? I'm quite surprised...

That was a hard hit. Did you notice the passenger door? It's opened up like a suicide door. I think it hit so hard it stayed shut (locked) at the latch and broke off at the hinges.

Looks like a LT V6 from the wheel laying there. Hard hit is almost an understatement.

Wow, it obliterated that car. If he wasn't drunk it could be a million reasons why that car is in a mangled heap.
