2012 auto tuning

I remember recently watching a video that the tapshift functions of the 2012 and up auto transmissions were improved upon for faster shift times. Is this something in the tune that could be spec'd into an aftermarket transmission tune?

Also a sort of unrelated question - do aftermarket torque converters affect proper function of tapshift?

Lol, I read the article, I was woundering if it can be duplicated on pre-2012 models through transmission tuning.

sounds like it. They are saying there is no mechanical change. So, it sounds like purely tuning. An aftermarket tranny tune will address the shifting, but it probably would be different (better or worse) from what GM is doing on the 2012's.

unless a tuner gets their hands on an auto ZL1 and copies/mimics the trans tune over to an SS
