Either way it's the same plug on all the 5th gens, and given that yours is an RS model you don't have fog lights so you definitely have DRLs where the fogs would typically go. You need to just rip out all that aftermarket wiring and go back to stock wiring to fix it right.

Talked to a fella I know who is/was having the same issue. He was told, at one of the local Chevrolet dealerships here in town, that the Body Control Module was bad. He was told that is what controls the DRL lights. I guess my hands are tied now!!!

Don't assume someone else's problem is your problem. The car is modified. Check if you're getting signal from the BCM if you want to be sure

i will not give up, going to let it rest a bit. really need a very good manual.

by looking at some BCM photos, looks like "circuits" are plugged into it???? once i find the BCM i am hoping that certain circuit is unplugged.

The BCM will have a few big connectors, very doubtful that a single pin for the DRLs has become dislodged.

Again most likely none of those diagrams will help you. The problem is most likely in the modified parts

BCM is near the steering column under the dash

i bet the service manual for the camaro is huge!! the electrical part for my 1999 dodge 2500 is just over 400 pages, whole manual is over 2600!!
