To me they come factory with the “old school rake”. I lowered mine more in the rear then I did the front just for this reason. But to each their own. No hate here, just not my thing.

All......Not going to hurt my feelings for sure. Hell.....I got a Camaro in 2018 and it was my first one. I had wanted one since the 11th grade. I love it when I hear, "the old dude is driving the Camaro"....:-)

If you can put the engine in the trunk and the rearend under the hood and just drive around in Reverse you could keep the weight on the drive wheels all the time for a better launch

I think if you had a "COPO" look going on, that would be good. It's close to what you want, but not as severe as the old school stuff which would look odd on a modern car. Just lower the front end a little perhaps.

On my 1974 Duster 340 with a 383 offenheuiser 4 speed manual. Had the rear end lifted with air shocks. The shift pattern was 1/4 inch between gears.

You mean like this? One three 69 GTOs I've owned over the years. I had just painted this and asked a shop to raise the back end a little. I was horrified when I got it back. hahaha

This one time, in high school, my buddy had an early 70s Mustang Mach 1 with air shocks, jacked up with big tires on the rear. That was cool.

Who needs handling anyway.

I graduated high school in 1975. If you remember the 70s, you weren't doing it right.

I think this is more what the OP is referring to, it was THE LOOK back in the 70's:
Attachment 1011295

You could get somewhat of a raked look by dropping the front with lowering springs, but probably pretty hard to get the drastic rake of the old air shocked cars.
You are absolutely right, I used the wrong term for sure. The 2nd pic is more what I was thinking though. So I knew what LOOK he was talking about...just not the right term

Side note, I used to have an old trans am back in the day with air shocks and wide tires on the back. I didn't roll around like that, but once in a while I would max out the shocks to jack up the rear end
