19" polished wheels

Can anyone confirm (for sure) whether or not the optional 19" polished wheels (option code Q9B) have a clear coat or not? I want to be sure before selecting a cleaner for them.

Also, after cleaning, would you recommend applying a wax to make the brake dust easier to clean off? Thanks!

I 99.9% sure they're clear coated.

And I've always cleaned my wheels, when they're cool to the touch, with a good car wash, followed by a good wax/polish (Zaino in my case).

If you keep them clean, avoid allowing brake dust to accumulate too much, and keep a coat of wax/polish on them, you won't have a problem.

I would guess since they are aluminum, they are anodized and maybe clear coat as well. Polished aluminum will turn black if not sealed. I sent you a private message. Geno

Yes they are clear coated. Treat them as you would the paint on the hood. Do NOT use a wheel polish on them.
