Center console different with gauge pack vs. no gauge pack?

EDIT, I just found these pictures. Looks like the entire center console is different, so the entire center console would have to be replaced if someone wanted to put the factory gauge pack in. Well, at least that top trim piece.

I dont know what you're seeing, but they look exactly the same to me. (except one has the gauge pack and one doesn't)

They are different. Look at the dividers between the gauges, they follow into the rest of the center piece.

Top cover on console

I see what your saying, the top console is all one piece and a different shape in between the guages.

I just realized you cannot have stuff in the cup holders and shift very easily.... the bottles or cups in the cup holers will get in the way.

New rule - No food or drink in the Camaro.
Problem solved.

The center console comes with a new pc that allows the gauges to work. Per DAVE THE CAMARO PARTS PROFESSIONAL.

Interesting, I am not quite sure how that will mount in that space... it looks so integrated in the pictures (vs. the non-gauge models). I have a hard time seeing where that will fit in the non-gauge model.
anyway, looks nice, but looks pricey.

My parts guy says that the gauges come with a new top plastic piece that replaces the factory non gauge plastic piece. and he also said 600.00 range

Yeah.. there's another overlay that sits on top of the "bagged" guages.

Yep, looks like there's a piece of plastic that snaps into place over top of the of the gauges that wraps around the shifter as well, one piece.

eh $600ish compared to the extra couple of grand i would have to pay to get them in the 2SS.

however if i have to replace a computer or some BS i may jump up to the 2SS. depending on how much is involved.

luckily i wont be buying a camaro for another year or so. i will have plenty of time to decide.
