Z/28 CAI Issue Fixed (?)

There are some old Z/28 CAI threads no one checks anymore so I thought I’d create my own “TSB.” A week or so ago I removed the conical filter and blew the ‘big chunks’ out. It’s still relatively clean but there was some debris stuck in it. When I put it back on, I missed the alignment notches. Duh.

I started getting a weird hesitation at half throttle. Wrote it off as torque management...long story, I caught the misalignment and reinstalled. Either in my head or it’s gone now. Maybe when it had a leak it screwed with the MAF???

just cleaned the z/28 out inside and out along with the throttle body, thinking I had gunk on the MAF or something similar, turned out I had a plug wire not seated correctly. figured I needed to clean air intake and throttle body any way so all is good
