L99 Solo Mach XL catback ?

So I am looking into the Solo Mach XL catback for the L99. I have been looking but I can't find the specifics on the muffler. Is it a muffler, a cross pipe, or both? is that piece any good or should I swap it for a Magnaflow x?

I just installed a magnaflow street series catback with long tube headers and they sound real deep, and the street series has resonators for the L99 so virtually no drone and deep rumble

I run the mach xl and love it. I ran it with stock manifolds, High flow cats and now long tubes with high flow cats and it sounded great with all three setups. It consists of a resonated x-pipe and j-pipes and it does not drone.

I too am a proud user of the Solo exhaust. I just have the axle-back but plan to add the X-pipe they sell. You could go that route if your looking to save money. The axle-back around $500 and the X-pipe is like $160. Cheaper than the full cat-back but if I had the money I would have went with the complete exhaust.

The axle back sounds good as well but there is a difference, I believe the axle back has mufflers where as the mach xl has no mufflers

It has J-pipes because its for a L99 but other than that I believe there just straight pipes to my stock resonator.

Sounds like the same system then except for the x-pipe. That explains why they have that same deep growl.

Not so. I have the Solo axle backs on my L99 SS. It's a muffler delete kit
with J-Pipes. It's drone free and has a great deep agressive sound.

You're right, that was also pointed out by the siftchancelor.

I Just installed the Solo Catback with SP long tubes and cats, I love it. Sounds great when you get on it but nice and subdued when cruising. perfection

There are only two options in life. Fight or flight. Most people run. Almost all people run. But not us. The difference between us and everyone else is that we run towards the gunfire. And that makes all the difference.

Thats the setup I have but with no cats and the stock resonator instead of the Solo X-pipe. Do you have a clip of the sound? I'd like to hear the full cat-back.
