Question about adding new amp for BA system - Camaro5 Chevy Camaro Forum / Camaro ZL1, SS and V6 Forums

For starters, I just recently installed a new radio with the PAC kit. I had bought the FARK harness a long time ago but I was only using the X3 with the RCA preouts for my Rockford Powered Sub.

I’m now upgrading the amp in the car and I have a question regarding the channels going into the amp and back into the car.

I purchased the JL XD400/4v2. Does it matter what speaker goes into Channel 1, 2 etc...? I know that you can adjust those channels in pairs on that amp, but for example, if I decide to adjust the fade and balance on the radio, if I have the wrong channel in the wrong spot, will they not adjust correctly?
