You get lifetime tunes and updates for any mods and you don't have to pay the rental fee again. At least that is what I was told. I would ask Jesse if you have any more questions.

But if you don't pay for lifetime tunes, then I'm guessing you'll likely have to pay the rental fee again. Just my guess.

I asked him if he would charge me to rent the tuner if I needed to change the tune and he said they would not charge me to change the tune.

From what I understood the lifetime tunes was included in the price of the tune. They may change this. So your best bet is to contact Jesse. He was really great at responding to me. He must be getting slammed with all of this interest. lol

I asked several of these questions in the IPF tune thread in the Vendor section:

Quote:
-Base tune cost (dealer cost and your cost with renting the tuning module)
Base IPF Power Tune cost currently for the Holiday Sale is $400 + $100 Rental fee.
-The additional costs that certain mods add to the base cost.
There is no additional cost to Tune for your mods when done at time of Initial IPF Power Tune. Additional costs are incurred if you do a mod after the IPF Power Tune.
- Explaining that the extra $$$ it costs to rent the module is not refunded.
The extra cost to Rent the IPF Tuning Module is $100 to allow you to Tune yourself.
- Explain what lifetime tunes are and how much extra that is versus one that does not include lifetime tweaks.
If you purchase the IPF Tuning Module Hardware it is $630 currently for the Holiday Sale. Lifetime Tunes are for the life of your VIN as long as you own the car you will receive Tunes to fit future mods such as LT Headers. It is not transferable.
- Explain that datalogging is available now, and whether or not it is only included with the lifetime tune.
Data logging will be available very soon!
- Give a brief example of how the tuning process works through IPF. For instance, with the "other" tuner even if you do not get lifetime tunes, they at least let you datalog the car once or twice before you return their module to make sure all looks well with the tune. Do you guys do this?
Yes, if you have the ability to Data Log and can send us the data we allow ten days before you have to return the Module.

Jesse, I'm not asking for a dyno for free...I'll pay the shop. We just need to get some numbers up for these folks. Let me know.
