How many people trust them? when, why, and how?
would you ever put them on your 2010 camaro? I'm talking turbos, intercoolers , wastgate's , bov's, this is a thread to share experiences on the stuff they sell...Input?? |

In short, if you do some research you should be fine .... In long ... I'd rather go with a reputable shop that knew what they were doing and put a nice package together where all of the parts worked together nicely ..

before we go too far i will say i never use these parts.. i only build cars with top of the line parts....but it never fails that someone will say some e bay parts are just as good. I'm just trying to learn some stuff. I have been building one off turbo setups for a wile and have only seen a couple of turbo setups made from ebay parts lately, looks like it becoming more common.. |

All the wile i have been seeing e bay intercoolers that work, but i still dont like to fool with them. Most of the cars that i build have a high dollar lsx or c5r motor's in them..i can't take that chance and willl not....But a friend of mine as a "joke" (you have got to know this guy to understand) said he was going to build a e bay turbo kit on his 5.3 truck so he ordered a 67 size turbo an e bay intercooler all parts ect...built this thing in a weekend and it looked ummm ok for the time it took. we took it to the dyno and it made about 567 rwhp all parts cost him $2400 bucks... the messed up part about it he still drives the truck after 2 years....

Just be careful!! We've had customers bring us these kits for an install, some are decent, but many of them are unusable. If you can afford it, go reputable products, and you'll have no regrets. There is a chance that you'll get a winner though, some of these guys are putting together decent low budget kits that will work. It's too much of a gamble for me though to recommend to a customer, although it would be fun to play as Will's friend did.

my opinion is that you just bought a performance car, why skimp and play Russian Roulette. Friend has a civic that is all ebay parts...does ok. I personally would not use them.

Years ago, I knew this guy in collage who was the dumbest guy I had seen, but he had the most unbelievable luck. I guess since God didn't give him brain, He decided to give him luck. So 2 years of eBay Turbo, is pure luck in my book! eBay has created more crooks than any other scam I've ever seen. I have seen and heard with my own eyes and ears people confessing how they screwed customers on eBay and got away with it and they were proud of it. |

If you have the knowledge to know what is OK and what it Junk then you would be alright. I get guys in my shop on a regular basis looking for rebuild kits for they're EBAY/Garett (note spelling) turbo that didn't last more than an Hour, and they're Ebay Turbo headers that crack in a week after they install a real Garrett Turbo. I also own and operate www.turboaddictionparts.com so I get tons of phone calls and visitors looking for turbo stuff. I guess it is OK if your buying ONE piece but For Sure stay away from any of the Turbo Kits that Claim to fit but say some fabrication may be required Ted.

For the value that you can put on the peace of mind, I would always purchase from a reputable dealer that has a proven track record of customer service.
