Hello Matt you have a sweet car! I wanted to ask how you like the oem z28 wheels on your car. I have been offered a good deal for a set of them. If i pull the trigger (thinking about it) I will put them on my SS camaro. Is it a big deal if they stick out an 1inch or so as I will not use fender flares?

What are the offsets on the Apex wheels? I'm looking at the ARC-8 and EC-7's, 19x10.5 ET25 front, 19x11 ET 44, with about a 10mm spacer at both ends.

What are your thoughts on the APEX wheel strength on our fat pigs? Thanks

Hi Chris! Yes...same me.. Yes, Sold the ITR in 05 and picked up an Evo that I ran in NASA. Had and ITR Hatch for a bit, SRT-4 briefly, now the 1LE, Grand National and Corvette Grand Sport...went full GM with a Durango R/T as the daily/tow..

Thank you! I love the OEM Z/28 wheels so much I had them twice....I did not like the way they stuck out past the fenders nor the tire OD. The car also didn't turn in as sharp or feel as nimble. Now it stuck and felt planted....but ended up going with 18s and a better fitment

I have 10s and 11s, but all 8 are 25mm offset. I run the 10s on the front with a 7mm spacer. 11s on the rear with no spacer. I had no concerns with the Apex wheel strength as they are used by many BMW and some Ford racers....Yes we are heavier...but I wasn't worried.

My 1LE V2.0 http://www.camaro5.com/forums/showthread.php?t=484265
Haven't been around here much lately...figure it was time to post something.

After running the 1LE on track for the last 3 years I took a look at what it would take financially to compete with my friends on track (in race prepped Corvettes, Panoz track car.....ect.) and decide to pull the plug on the 1LE as a dedicated track car. I'm keeping it, but want to drive it on the street more.

Dropped the car off at Rodgers Chevrolet and had them do a few things to "freshen" it up....

Install Hex Vents
Install ZL1 Lower Rockers
Install ZL1 Rear Valance
Paint and install ZTA spoiler
Install Michilen Pilot Sport All season on 2017 OEM 1LE wheels
Used 285/35/20 square so I can keep a spare in the car and run it front or rear (same OD))
New Clutch (not really needed...but slave was leaking)
Trans refresh

I already sold and shipped the AP 9668 Brakes to another member and received a set of C7, Z06 non-CCB calipers with ZL1 rotors to go back on it.

Picked up a 2011 Corvette Grand sport for track days...Rollbar is being powder coated now, AP Brakes, Tow hooks, harnesses, brake ducts.....are all ready to be installed when I have time. 3300lbs vs 3900 is very noticeable.

I might go the same route some day. Thinking about picking up a used Z06/07 once the C7's become old news with the mid engine vetts coming...

I love my Camaro and I am not selling it.....but after spending enough seat time in the Corvette I "get it". For a primary track car its the way to go for me.

Congrats on the new car! I love the new 1LE wheels on the 5th gen too! Any chance you're looking to get rid of your APEX wheels now that you aren't tracking the Camaro?
