Service records really don't matter. Just keep your receipts for the oil/filter you buy. If you think they will deny coverage because you didn't get oil change from them, the Magnusson Moss Act prohibits this.

I am guessing you put a funnel in the milk jugs but what happens when it is full and have to put another jug in place to prevent spillage?

I change all of our vehicles...ramps and Stahlbus valves make it a quick and no-mess process.

With the Camaro I don’t trust the dealer not to tweak the body, and the Jeep dealer wants $120 for the wife’s Grand Cherokee. I can do both vehicles with factory filters and Pennzoil Ultra Platinum for that, lol.

When I bought my first one I got 2 free service visits over two years. In order to stretch that I did the in-between oil changes myself.

Haven't yet bought those special jack pads, so I used ramps, but I had to fabricate some wooden "pre-ramps" to allow the car to climb the ramps without the front fascia & air dam contacting the main ramps. While under there doing the oil change I also like to take the time for giving the underside a good looking over to make sure everything is sound...plus I like to do a little cleaning while I'm there.

Going to have to get a set of pads for the new SS: pulling up slowly/gingerly on those ramps with a manual trans will create a LOT of clutch wear.

Yes, I change my own oil, but I have not done so yet on this Camaro. I received two free oil changes since the dealership messed up my rocker on their lift.

I tell everyone getting oil all over the garage floor helps keep me grounded. It is my ultimate goal to not get any on the floor. I should look into getting the shutoff valve to make it quick and easy.
