It's common knowledge that LS1 cars were underrated from the factory, especially in 2001/2002. |

Race the cars, not the dyno numbers. If they made the same power at the tires, then why do the 2010's go 3-4mph faster in the 1/4 and weigh 500lbs more? Right there tells me that regardless of what the numbers are, the 2010 makes at LEAST 50hp more than the LS1 cars. Dynos are tuning tools, some are high, some are low; depends on brand, calibration, operator, etc, etc. Comparing two dynos is like pissing in the wind, you'll never get anywhere productive.
But for a direct comparison, I have dyno'd MANY stock LS1 cars of all years and they are right around 275-280 at the tires on the same machine that my stock 2010 just make 330 (down from 350 when new....still trying to figure that one out.). My car went 12.7@111mph so it's really making the same output everyone else's cars are We also had a stock auto 2010 make 325...he is a member here and has his dyno sheet up here somewhere; don't think he has gone to the track. Not trying to argue....just another viewpoint.
