17" Weld Wheels on ET Streets

A big thanks to the guys at Heintz Racing and Punchy Whitaker Tire. The 17" Welds Wheels, DSS 9" with 3.70 Gear and new BMR LCAs are done.

Blazzin' thank you for all your help and research into this.

I can't wait to hit the track tonight to see how she does.

I will get some additional pictures up later.

Yes, SOME people have had some contact/rubbing issues between the 17" Welds and the Rear Lower Control Arms. There are solutions available, either modify the stock LCA's, or BMR has some very nice aftermarket LCA's that were specifically designed for use with these exact wheels. Or you could use 18" wheels and eliminate the possibility of rubbing (but just remember, nobody makes an 18" slick!). The specs on my wheels are:

17x5, -21 Offset, 2.20 Backspace
17x10, +44 Offest, 7.20 Backspace

These are the suggested sizes according to the Weld Racing Fitment Chart.

Check my signature for the tires/sizes I'm running.

Hope that helps!

Thanks guys.

I am actually running 17X10 Rear on MT ET Streets and 17X8 Front on Pirelli P Zero Nero. I will be getting a set of skinnies for the track at a later time.
