it sounds like it was designed with the L99/AFM in mind.

any L99 owners able to chime in? how is it? tolerable during AFM?

I concur completely. I have heard the exhaust in person and driven the car. The internet video/sound clips do this exhaust no justice.

my question would be more towards.. have you heard it on an automatic, and during AFM? that is one of the main deciding factors for my purchase.

I have this set. Installed great. I like the sound. There is some drone when at highway speed, (90km/h or 55mph) when in 4cyl mode and the engine is under higher load like when facing a head wind or going up hill. I have to downshift to 5th at these times. Normal conditions are fine. Freeway/Interstate speeds are perfect, no drone at all. I made a couple of vids.
