The people who claim that the V6's are not real Camaro's are funny...

90% of people couldn't even tell the V6 from the V8 from looking at them....

I have owned gen 4 V8 Camaro's and Trans Am's and loved them but guess what? I enjoy this V6 just as much. I guess at some point in life most people start to really think practically about it...

If you just want a fun car to drive that looks great, why pay the extra $6,000-$7,000 that's even going to cost you more in gas, insurance....etc, unless you are going to be actually racing?

If you are not going to be racing, what are you going to do with that extra 100 horsepower? Are you going to be going 130 mph on the freeway? You want to get from one light to the next 10 seconds faster? LOL

i am not saying that I would be happy with a slow car because I wouldn't but the V6 isn't slow and compares favorably to V8's from the past...

Even if you buy a V8 and got to the track, you still won't be the fast one there... there will always be some one faster!

Go with the V6

I got the 2LT RS and it is a blast. I can smoke the Pirelli P-zeros just like the SS's. 304 HP is 14 more HP than a 1969 Z/28 302 at 290 HP. I have also seen top, one trip mileage of 33, normal in town 22-24.

v6/v8 either way you look at it, it's still a camaro. Enjoy. My other post was removed. Imagine that.

I bought the v8 only because it was what I wanted, I bought my wife the v6 2010 mustand because it was what she wanted.

I bought mine before time runs out! If I would have had the money it would have had a V8, and that's not the liquid V8!

Drive on....................

Actually that 69 Z/28 was way underrated, that wasn't it's peak HP.. that was more in the 400 range... But in saying that any 2010 Camaro would outrun a stock 69 Z/28 on a roadcourse.... Just the improvements in suspension and tires would acheve that.

Very true, even a Camry could probably take an old Z/28 on a track, the V6s that is.

And btw one could argue that the money saved from getting the V6 over the V8 can go to mods that will give you as much or more power than a stock SS anyway.

But at the end of the day you gotta pay to play, you want power, expect to pay for it.

Practical depends on what you are doing with it, doesn't it?

If your main purpose for the car is commuting back and forth to work, then the Camaro is quite practical . . . that's what I mostly do with my car and that's why I think the V6 Camaro is a practical choice.

If you need a car that can go off road, or carry big things, or carry more than two adults, then the Camaro is not "practical" for your use . . . but for the normal one-person commute, I say it's both practical AND fun.

I agree with the to many badges. I am considering removing the side emblems. Saw one on another site, looked really clean and shows the body lines better.
