broken axel fixed, now has a vibration please help

i broke my right rear axel on my vortech supercharged 2011 camaro ss at the drag stip friday. i didnt even take it to the dealer because i knew what they would say and i was worried they would fix it and then hit me with a big bill so i ordered the axel from my local dealer and fixed it myself but now there is a little vibration at higher rpms when i let off of the gas and the motor is holding it back i beleive the axel is not exactly right what do i do? all the dealer will do is tell me to bring it in and they will look at it. has anyone had this problem with a replacement gm axel? the vibration is not bad but its there and its agervating do i need to order another axel or what? please help thanks!!

Are you sure it's the axle? Could it be a wheel out of balance? Could it be the driveshaft couplers(another known weak point)?

this started after it broke so the i dont think its the wheel/tire but i havent checked the driveshaft i looked at it when it was on the lift but didnt think nothing about twisted bolts so i will check that first but it feels like its more in the right rear instead of the center of the rear but thanks i will check that and let everyone know thanks!

I had the exact same thing happen to me and the exact condition you are experiencing after the axle had been replaced. I not only took the car the dealer, they replaced my axle then I noticed the vibration. Then they replaced my driveshaft and still I have a vibration. So I replaced both axles and the driveshaft with DSS parts and still feel the vibration. I drained the diff fluid and saw it looked very dark with only 4800 miles. It seemed better with the new fluid but I still feel it's not right. I think something in the posi got damaged when the axle broke. I'm going to try a new diff and see what happens. If you fix yours first let me know what you found

I have a 2014 ss camaro with 2500 miles on it I just broke the axel my question is about the dealer I had the computer tuned and am going to have it set back to stock when I carry it there. What I'm asking is are they going to be able to see that I had all that crap turned off and running at peak performance ? I did get 8.56 in a 8th with a completly stock ss though factory tires also

You can bet the first thing they will check is for a tune and there is no way to hide it. Expect a nice repair bill and a flag in the GM warranty system.

yes, they have a TSB to look for modded software and to flag you in their warranty system.
