Hmmm, black side mirrors, black splitter, black spoiler. Where have I seen that before? Looks great!
Edit: I'm a noob, wannabee car enthusiast and already have a minivan at my disposal! I'll shut up now.

This concept should be an option as it always has been on previous models. This would be a great step towards an almighty Z/28, right behind the ZL1 .. The production would make more sense since it uses ZL1 components and can push more cars through without switching the line up. This should lead to a Z/28 that is a competitor directly with the Boss 302 LS which is around 48k. Epitome of a Z/28 should be a LS7 with forged 19s, weight reduction (sport seats, rear seat delete, light weight battery, simple exhaust system, and the titanium rods in the LS7 . All the rest of the components would be from the parts bin. Validate the car with the LS7 and sell them for 49k.
Afterthought, I know that this being a badass Camaro it would be low 50's. But the Camaro has always been a little bit more than the Mustang, to me and this is an opinion the Camaro is built a little better and has the styling hands down well worth the extra to me. Maybe I'm the only one that thinks the ZL1 should cost a few grand over the competition due to the performance and technology. And the 2011 GT I had cost me less than my SS and that is fact..

This is a really good point. With eps and new exhaust it will not be able to compete with the Boss. That's why I'm all for them installing a handbuilt LS7.

I would expect this 1LE option on a SS to be comparable to a Boss. And a Z/28 comparable to the Boss LS. Both costing 2k to 4k more than said competition. Thinking about this I know it will not happen due to the fact GM wants to sell units and with a "real Z/28" being a niche car I doubt them ever producing one on par with the Boss LS, which would necessitate a LS7. Which by the way would not be rated at the vettes 505hp but then again I would not mind a 480hp LS7 in a Z/28

We can cross our fingers and hope not. I commend GM for taking the steps towards what we are asking but only time will tell. As for me I will wait for a carbon edition ZL1 convertible. Since it doesn't seem like this will be a very limited production run on the ZL1 I might as well wait to see what the rarest version will end up to be.

Nice first post.... But I would figure that since your info says 2012 ZL1 you would have posted your six digit first....

I like the wheels. They'd be perfect if they were chromed.
